The shamisen itself was originally made in Tokyo, Japan, in the 1970s, while the top surface is crafted from antique wood dating to the 1800s, giving this piece a unique blend of Edo-period material history and Showa-era craftsmanship preserving the soul and authenticity of the instrument.
Now reborn as a bonsai table / display kadai, this piece balances sculptural beauty with function. The elegant neck, tuning pegs, and resonant body form a striking vertical silhouette, making it ideal for displaying bonsai, suiseki stones, or treasured objects in a refined Japanese interior.
