This is a beautifully preserved Japanese vintage okashi bon (お菓子盆) — a traditional sweets serving tray crafted from lacquered wood and bamboo, finished in elegant urushi (漆) nuri technique.

The deep reddish-brown lacquer surface features delicate hand-painted gold maki-e style decoration with refined floral detailing, embodying the quiet elegance of traditional Japanese aesthetics. The curved silhouette and natural bamboo handle give the piece both strength and lightness — a perfect balance of craftsmanship and design.

The tray is artist signed and comes complete with its original signed tomobako (wooden storage box) and documentation, significantly enhancing its collectible and cultural value.
