Japanese Vintage Eto (干支) Rooster Figurine Set – Brass, Signed Box & Original Documents

A beautifully detailed Japanese vintage Eto (干支) Rooster figurine set, featuring two finely crafted rooster figures presented together on an original lacquer-style display stand.

The set is accompanied by its original presentation box, artist information, Japanese documentation, and signed name plaque, making it considerably more interesting than an ordinary decorative rooster figure.

Both roosters display exceptionally detailed sculptural work, including individually defined feathers, combs, beaks, wings, tails, and feet. The bodies have a warm metallic appearance with contrasting red-painted details on the combs and facial areas.

The two figures are arranged together as a family-style composition, with one larger rooster and one smaller rooster.

🐓 Japanese Eto – Year of the Rooster

The rooster is represented by 酉 (Tori) in the traditional Japanese Eto zodiac system.

Eto, also known as the Japanese zodiac, consists of twelve animals that rotate through a repeating twelve-year cycle. The Rooster is the tenth sign of the cycle.

Rooster-themed objects are traditionally associated with people born under the Rooster sign and are also collected as auspicious Japanese decorative art.

The next Year of the Rooster will be 2029, while previous Rooster years include 2017, 2005, 1993, 1981, and 1969.
