An authentic 1950s Japanese Ikebana circle vase stand, crafted from natural Sakura (cherry wood) and Saya wood, sourced directly from a Japanese Government Auction.

This elegant circular form was originally designed for Ikebana (生け花) — the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging. The strong minimalist ring structure symbolizes harmony, balance, and the concept of “Enso” (円相), the Zen circle representing completeness and enlightenment.

The upper ring features a suspension loop, traditionally used to hang or secure a flower vessel within the circular frame. The solid wooden base provides stability while maintaining a clean, sculptural silhouette.

Hand-carved kanji characters are visible on the base, adding authenticity and cultural depth. Mid-century Japanese ikebana stands like this were often used in tea rooms, tokonoma alcoves, or refined interior displays during the Showa period.
