This extremely rare antique Japanese wooden table dates to the late Edo to early Meiji period (circa early 1900s) and was sourced directly from a Japanese Government Auction.
I personally restored this piece over a two-week period, carefully cleaning, repairing, and reviving the original wood finish to bring it back to life while preserving its historical character.
The table features a handwritten Japanese label on the back, which translates to a dedication presented to a gentleman named Mr. Araki, making this not just furniture, but a meaningful piece of Japanese history.
Crafted in traditional Japanese style, the solid wood construction and lacquered surface make it perfect as:
