During the Great Air Raid, Seichuji Temple town was almost completely destroyed by fire. The temple grounds were lost, yet this Daruma statue miraculously survived the ruins unharmed.
This makes the piece not just a collectible, but a spiritual and historical relic, embodying resilience and survival during WWII.
